Allen Alley Elected Chair of Oregon GOP

Congratulations to Allen Alley, our newly elected Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party! Allen Alley will be a great chair, and we all wish him well and are thankful to have him serving in that position.

In his acceptance speech, Allen Alley said “The solutions for Oregon’s economy must include utilizing our rural assets of forests, fisheries, farms, energy resources and ranches as well as our technology and manufacturing base. A “Westside only” solution is not the answer and it is not sustainable. All Oregonians deserve a chance to take a shot and to make a better life for their families.” Outgoing Chairman Bob Tiernan said “Allen’s leadership style has done much to unify the Party. I can’t remember when a candidate has attracted such broad support, especially in an open seat election.”

Other newly elected officers of the Oregon Republican Party are Vice Chairman Tim Smith, a rancher and geologist from Harney County, and Treasurer Rob Kremer, a principal in Third Century Solutions, the Lake Oswego public affairs firm that created the Oregon Transformation Project, which is taking a look at Oregon’s budget problem from a new perspective. Allen Alley and Representative Dennis Richardson are the co-chairs of the Transformation Project. Darlien France was re-elected to serve a second term as ORP Secretary.

We heartily congratulate each of them, and look forward to a vital and energetic Oregon Republican Party as we head toward the 2012 election!
