From the Chair

First, I want to just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas!!!

In the last year we have made huge strides locally in bringing Conservatives, the Community, and Republicans together. A good example was the recent defeat of the ordinances by almost 80%. I know many people feel the “Republican Party” is not representing them. Most of that feeling comes from the lack of control of the Federal offices and them not listening to the people. Despite all that, our County has been making strides to have our voices heard throughout the State. By getting the State to listen, and start working together, we might be able to help get the National RNC and Offices to start to pay attention. It is up to us to change peoples thinking, one at a time.

Just help us support conservative values. Yes, I am asking you to discern in giving to OUR local party on a monthly basis ($5, 10, 20, 50, 100 or more), but hey I will not turn away a one time gift either. If that is not possible, please consider helping by donating some items for our Lincoln Day Dinner or volunteering some time at our new local headquarters. I am thoroughly convinced that, when the chips are down, Josephine County will take care of its own. We just need to step up and prove it. If you donate to the State or National RNC, little to none of that money is seen locally, so please, if you are considering donating, consider keeping it local. Like we have just proven, if we band together, we can make our voices heard. 2014 Elections are just around the corner and we are already gearing up. Fighting for what is right, we can take back our County, State, and hopefully the National offices before it is to late. Who do you TRUST!!!

Enough of that. Lets look at what we have going and what we can do to find out what is going on.

Republican Women have their meeting on Dec 12th, 2013 at Noon at Elmer’s. They have Toys for Tots coming. Consider bringing an unwrapped toy.

Fourth Tuesday Get Together is December 17th, 2013 at Black Bear Diner 6:00pm is the Start of the Speaker. Doors open at 5:00. (Yes, I know it is not the Fourth Tuesday, but we wanted people to spend time with their families for the holidays.)

Lincoln Day Dinner is Feb 7th, 2014 and seating is going fast. We have sold several tables already. Cost is $50 per seat or $450 for buying a table of 8. Table buyers will be listed. You can get sign up here. Our speaker is The Young Cons (Conservatives) Co-Founder, David Rufful, who is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he studied American politics and Arabic. He is a former editor for The Dartmouth Review, former captain of the Dartmouth men’s basketball team and co-founder of The Young Cons. David has worked on a number of public policy issues as a Research Fellow in Dartmouth’s Political and Law Fellowship. David has edited a number of videos including “Are You Better Off?” His work has appeared on several nationally syndicated radio stations, major web outlets and national television programs, including Huckabee, The O’Reilly Factor, Fox & Friends, The Strategy Room, TheBlaze TV, and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher.

We are in the need for some good Auction items. Last year we had a record and helped advertise local businesses. Please consider and contact me if you are willing to Donate or help procure items.

We have secured our Local Headquarters. We are located directly across the street from the Josephine County Courthouse. We just got it (Today) we need to fill it with all kinds of office equipment (Desks, printers, chairs, computers Etc), folding chairs for large meetings and we need a refrigerator. We were able to secure a 3400sf building for a rent lower than most HQ’s in the state, but we do want to keep it up and running. That is where your monthly contribution would go, that and for signs and advertising in the upcoming Election to do our part in getting Conservative Republicans back in control. We can use the building to hold meetings, seminars and events.

Our new Address is 513 NW 6th Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526. Look for the copper awning. That is us!!!

Lastly, I want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will be planning on a grand Opening at the Head Quarters soon. I hope you consider stopping by and checking it out when we have it fully up and running.

Instead of complaining and thinking nothing can be done, get involved, it only takes one person to make a difference!!!

Thank You for all your past support and have a Merry Christmas.

God Bless you and God Bless America!!
