At the Republican Central Committee meeting on March 31, Dick Smith was elected Treasurer, replacing Joanna Lofaso who resigned due to personal responsibilities. Also, at the meeting, Ron Glynn gave a speech on Party Unity, Joseph Rice and Bill Hunker gave a presentation in opposition to Measure 17-66 (the Public Safety Levy), and past Oregon Republican Party Chair Art Robinson spoke on how we can make a difference in Jospehine County politics.
The Central Committee voted to hold another meeting regarding whether to take an official party position on Measure 17-66. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 at the Guild Building, 1867 Williams Highway. Credentialing will begin at 6:15.
If any PCP would like to present additional information on either side of this issue, please forward it to our chair, Joshua Robinson, and he will see that it is distributed to the Central Committee prior to the meeting.
