Since the Nonaffiliated voters (NAV) make up a large section of registered voters in our county it will be telling how they turn out in elections, as seen below. NAV’s voters are comprised of democrats (both moderate and liberal), republican (both moderate and conservative), independents. Most likely the largest block of NAV is the nonvoter since the DMV automatically registers voters as NAV unless you specifically designate your party affiliation. As seen below NAV people do not vote in large numbers compared to the two major political parties. Not surprising since these are mostly people that didn’t vote in the past, but the DMV automatically registered them anyways.
