|Tell your representatives to oppose H.R.4, another attempted federalization of elections. |
The bill empowers the Justice Department to veto changes of polling place locations, voter ID and registration requirements, and the boundary lines of redistricting in every single state. Built on the myth of voter suppression, H.R.4 ignores the Census Bureau conclusion that the 2020 election attracted “the highest voter turnout of the 21st century” and the fact that, during the entire eight years of the Obama administration, the Justice Department filed just four cases under the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination in voting. Making sure that every eligible citizen is able to vote and that their vote is not lost or stolen through fraud or errors is not voter suppression—it is good governance.
