In 2022, John West won his Josephine County commissioner election with over 57% of the vote. He campaigned on a platform of reducing costs, saving taxpayer money, streamlining county operations, and removing unnecessary department heads to create a more efficient government.
Since taking office, West has delivered on these promises. He has cut costs, safeguarded taxpayer funds, and worked to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of county operations—all while facing opposition from those who prefer the status quo of government waste.
These efforts have drawn criticism from a small but vocal group opposed to his reforms. This group has launched a recall effort, centered on six key allegations.
Below, each of these allegations is addressed directly by John West. For more detailed information, including interviews, please visit: https://jocogop.org/john-west-recall-bullet-points-to-six-allegations/.
