October 5, 2023 Lunch & Learn -Topic Education

You are cordially invited to the Josephine County Republican Party “Lunch and Learn Workshop Series” on October 5th at 11:15. A no-host lunch starts at 11:15, and the workshop begins at noon.

There is so much going on in the Education arena. I recently posted breaking news on the Oregon Department of Education’s massive fraud. You should attend this workshop if you are a Mom, Dad, Grandfather, Grandmother, Aunt, Uncle, Foster Parent, or involved in education.

The recent changes to the curriculum by the ODE have made this October’s meeting particularly interesting. One can’t help but be surprised by the impact it has had.

Oregon’s reading test scores have been declining for years. The latest available data from the state education department shows only 39% of students in the 2021-22 school year were proficient in reading by third grade.

Extreme ideologies quickly take root in U.S. K-12 public schools through new school policies, practices, and curriculums — devastatingly affecting students. Unfortunately, Americans are mainly turning a blind eye instead of speaking up against political and social indoctrination that threatens our children’s education and the very fabric of our nation.

Most children in kindergarten are not yet able to read, tie their shoes, or remember their home addresses. Instead of prioritizing academic fundamentals, schools promote negative impacts such as identity confusion. The resulting emotional harm and insecurity negatively affect these children for a lifetime.

It’s no wonder that child and adolescent mental health issues are on a steep rise when students are taught to question their own identity and select from an ever-growing list of confusing options. Google “Gender Unicorn”

Oregon’s high school graduation rates are among the lowest in the nation.

To make matters worse, Oregon lawmakers are aiming to make the state the second in the nation to mandate climate change lessons for K-12 public school students, further fueling U.S. culture wars in education.

It is crucial that all of us participate in our children’s schools; they are our future. Let’s get involved!
