Josephine County Democrats recently endorsed our local county government (1). The Democrats have endorsed Colene Martin and Pat Fahey for Josephine County Commissioner.
The Democrats have endorsed Mayor Sara Bristol, Brian DeLaGrange, Vanessa Ogier, and Jay Meredith for Grants Pass City. The Josephine County Democrats will host a meet-and-greet for these endorsed candidates on September 27th (2).
All the money raised at this meet-and-greet will go towards Act Blue, a fundraising platform that supports the election of Democrats. What does this reveal about where these candidates might stand on critical issues our county and city face?
Pat Fahey backed the unsuccessful charter change measure 17-116, which 67% of voters rejected. He doesn’t have a pulse on what the community wants. What does it say about Colene Martin, Jay Meredith, and Sara Bristol, registered Republicans excepting the Democrats’ endorsement? Let’s not forget Jay Meredith is one of the three petitioners trying to recall Commissioner John West.
